Oliver Food Bank is 100% volunteer-based with no paid staff; we are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
We believe every person should be treated with dignity, compassion and respect. We operate with honesty and transparency and are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and supported.
The Society’s purpose is to assist community members in need, on a temporary basis, with nutritious food. We believe no person should go hungry and that everyone has the right to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food which meets their dietary needs.
We prepare and distribute hampers with perishable and non-perishable food items on a weekly basis, providing food for approximately 3 days each week.
